Infant Mental Health at Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. 
Mother of one, 20+ years experience working with children 0-14 in various roles, 10 years of this as a maternity nurse looking after newborns in private homes. That’s over 100 babies which includes 12 sets of twins.

Over the course of my career I have had the honour to work with babies who were among the most vulnerable in our society as well as babies born into highly privileged families. Through this I have witnessed how, irrespective of social status, the real difference to a baby’s development is having parents who are dedicated to providing the best care for their little ones.

However, I have noticed new parents struggle to navigate their way through the often conflicting advice they receive. Usually, the parents I work with as a maternity nurse have built successful careers before having children and yet when it comes to parenting they acknowledge that they feel under qualified for their new role as mother or father and unsure which advice to follow.

I help parents navigate all their options while making sure they remain feeling in charge of the process. In effect, I present parents with a toolkit of proven ideas that they can use to help solve every situation that arises. The result is new parents who quickly gain confidence and who report feeling equipped to meet the challenge of parenthood.

The courses I’m now offering aim to achieve just the same result; to provide all the information parents need to be fully equipped to care for and enjoy their baby.
